Upon the creation of Redwood National Park in 1968, this spectacular, world-class redwood grove was dedicated to Lady Bird Johnson, our former First Lady. An easy and level path ushers travelers through a wooded forest of staggeringly immense trees, featuring the occasional blanket of rhododendrons (May – June), mushrooms and moss, as well as an inspiring variety of simple treasures found only in an ancient redwood forest.
