Humboldt Dockside Market

Every other week from June through October, local fishermen from Shelter Cove to Orick set up canopies at the Humboldt Dockside Market in Eureka to sell fresh fish, crab and other specialties straight from their boats. Shoppers can take their seafood home whole, or have it processed at the on-site fillet station, where fisherman also share tips, recipe ideas and guidance on preparing your catch.

The market is also a place to connect with the community. Visitors can meet local fishermen, hear stories from their trips out to sea and learn about the region’s long-standing fishing traditions and the role local seafood plays in Humboldt County’s sustainable food system.

More than just a place to buy fish, the Humboldt Dockside Market brings the community and its fishermen together, leaving visitors with a deeper connection to their food and the people who caught it.

Humboldt Dockside Market season kicks on Saturday, June 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (or until the catch runs out, so get there early!). The market takes place at Madaket Plaza, located at the foot of C Street in Eureka.
