Considered one of the most beautiful run’s in the world, the 53rd Avenue of the Giants Marathon is set to take place on Sunday, May 4. The paved course winds through stunning stands of old growth in the Humboldt Redwoods State Park. Half and 10k Marathon. A certified and Boston Qualifying event.

Reggae on the River returns to Southern Humboldt August 1-3. This three-day event brings festival goers from far and wide to the banks of the Eel River to partake in music, dance, cannabis, art, camping and more.

Join us you must for the first annual Forest Moon Festival, a Star Wars celebration unlike any in this galaxy (or the ones far, far away)! For those not already in the know, many of the scenes from Return of the Jedi were filmed in the region. Star Wars enthusiasts of all ages are encouraged to come (in costume!) and experience the natural beauty, arts & culture of the North Coast. 

 

Humboldt & Del Norte Counties unite in a celebration of the Star Wars Universe at the Annual Forest Moon Festival – much of which is set right here on the North Coast.

Fans of all ages are invited to tour the stunning filming locations and attend local film screenings. There will be pop up markets, themed events, costume contests and more  throughout the two counties during the Forest Moon Festival.
