Forest Moon Festival is a multi-day, multi-location celebration inspired by the iconic redwood landscapes of the Forest Moon of Endor in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Rather than taking place in a single venue, the festival unfolds across communities throughout Humboldt and Del Norte Counties, from Eureka to Crescent City and beyond. Each event has its own unique setting, and you’ll find full details, locations, and maps listed within the schedule. To explore what’s happening and where, head over to the Schedule page and start planning your adventure across the Redwood Coast.

Over 40 years ago, our redwood coast was the film site for the iconic battleground between the Rebel Alliance and the Empire. Today, fans from around the world continue to visit this legendary cinematic landscape. The Forest Moon Festival honors that role by themed events, film site tours, costumed characters, and more—all set against the stunning backdrop of California’s coastal redwoods.
